At a time when many were searching for stability, Bridget Sinha found her purpose and Balanced Physical Therapy & Pilates was born. What began in 2020 as a pandemic passion project has grown into a thriving wellness studio that’s quietly transforming how Charlotteans think about movement, recovery, and long-term health. Nestled in South Charlotte at 3315 Springbank Lane, Suite 309, Balanced began with a single mission: to bridge the gap between traditional injury-focused physical therapy and everyday fitness. “Too many active adults were sidelined by nagging pain or fear of injury, ” Sinha shares. “They weren’t hurt in a way that needed surgery, but they weren’t feeling good enough to enjoy life fully either. I wanted to create a space that treats the whole person, not just an injury.”
In 2023, Balanced expanded its services to include a fully equipped Pilates studio offering small
group classes alongside personalized one-on-one sessions. Today, clients can expect a uniquely supportive environment where hands-on care meets intentional movement education all led by doctors of physical therapy and licensed Pilates instructors with a deep understanding of the human body.

Sinha’s path to business ownership was unexpected. Originally from the suburbs of Boston, she spent years moving around before settling in Charlotte in 2018 with her family. Her background as a dancer, and frequent PT patient, planted the seeds of her career. But after years working in conventional clinical settings, she grew frustrated with the limits imposed by insurance and corporate protocols. “I realized I wasn’t able to treat patients the way I knew they needed to be treated,” she explains. “So I built the kind of place I wish I had access to as a patient.”
That vision is paying off. Balanced’s standout service, the Rehab Pilates class, is an equipment- based small group class led by doctors of physical therapy. Tailored to each participant’s needs, the class is ideal for those recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or simply looking to move and feel better in their daily lives.

The practice also offers specialty services that many don’t realize fall under the physical therapy umbrella, including pelvic floor therapy, vestibular therapy, and dry needling—all critical offerings for patients with complex or lingering issues. This August, Balanced is expanding its group class schedule to offer even more options for busy clients looking to prioritize their health. And the best way to support this growing local gem? “Come on in,” says Sinha. “Whether it’s a class or a one-on-one session, we’re here to help you move better and feel better.”
When she’s not at the studio, you might find Bridget unwinding in downtown Pineville, where she enjoys discovering new coffee shops and eateries. And come summer, she’s all about Charlotte’s free outdoor live music scene. As for advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, Sinha keeps it simple: “Dive in. There is time to refine and improve later. Getting started is the hardest part.”
